This week we had a class called ” Puberty II” In this class, a company that teaches kids about their puberty and stuff like that. They talked to us and we learned about our puberty, hence the name, “Puberty II” We had a half day on Wednesday, due to a teachers meeting, and it was quite a short day. We have been assigned a new art project, where we have to decorate a ceiling tile and then we will put the tile, on the actual ceiling! I’m pretty exited to decorate the ceiling. We watched “Iron Jawed Angels” which was a movie on women suffrage. We watched this movie because we are going to soon be starting Law Day! Law Day is an essay contest where the people who are hosting the contest make a subject that has to do with laws, and everyone participating has to write an essay on that topic! I cant wait till we start the essay. We also went to a play, which was about different myths in Ancient Greece! The play was a little boring to me, so it felt like it was hours long. (We also learned what Hyperbole is. Hyperbole is a way of writing. This way of writing exaggerates things, just like I exaggerated about how long the play was)

This week we had almost no school! We were off on Monday, because of Presidents Day. On Tuesday, we just had normal school. On Wednesday on the other hand, was different. We went to the Holocaust Museum because they were hosting an event called Leadership Day. There we got to sit with new people and talk about how to be a leader, because, it was Leadership Day. We were there the whole day, but they gave us food, so we were good. We got to explore the actual museum with our own class, which was pretty cool. The next day, we went on yet another field trip. We went to the Windy City Bulls! It was a fun trip. We watched the game and ate food!

I learned how to sew this week! We sowed a heart and I sew a pillow! It is actually very comfortable. Last week I didn’t make a blog so I have a little more to write about. We are doing a science fair, or an invention convention, or as Plato Academy would like to call it, “Eureka”. I honestly do not know what to make, so that is still on hold. We have worked on our essay for Presidents Day. We have been starting up our newspaper. We had the bake sale, but i am kind of sad due to the fact that I forgot my money. The bake sale was a bit stressful, but it was fun overall. Today is Valentines Day, and I am super happy As I type this blog, my computer is covered in goodies! I cant wait for the fun moments I will have today.
